Suppliers since 1967 of products for restoring and conserving fine-art objects and surfaces, from paper to stone.
Picreator was the first company to establish a world-wide mail-order service supplying small packs of restoration materials, including its own- label 'Renaissance' products. Initially developed for the professional restorer and the museum laboratory technician, Renaissance products have, over the years, become widely known to the collecting public through the writings of authors and journalists. Restoration problems and discussions continually arise in the Company's daily correspondence with its publics.
The international exchange of product and technical know-how between museums and the circulation of books and journals have created demand in many countries for Renaissance products, which are now distributed by local importing agents.
The Company is increasingly consulted by architects and other specifying authorities in the choice of cleaning and maintenance processes in historic building refurbishment schemes. The display of fine-art objects in museum or historic collection has, at some time, involved cleaning, repair and preservation for future generations of viewers. The first stage of any restoration project is usually cleaning of surfaces to assess the extent of damage. SAFE cleaning, with professionally-approved products, is vital to avoid immediate harm or creation of long-term conservation problems.
